Based in Southern California, Maxim Group Companies is a lifestyle lighting manufacturer and wholesaler founded in 1970. We offer a variety of high-quality lighting fixtures for the home with design inspiration from around the world.
We are looking for an energetic and positive person for our E-Commerce Customer Service team to work for a fast-paced and exciting company. This is a full-time position with on-the-job training requiring undivided attention Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 3pm. It’s a position that gives the right candidate the chance to grow within the company and expand their career.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· EDI order Management
o Monitoring and processing EDI transactions to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
o Troubleshoot and resolve EDI related issues in collaboration with internal IT and our partners.
o Maintain compliance with customer specific EDI requirements and documentation.
· Customer Support
o Able to manage a high volume of incoming emails from assigned accounts and respond in a timely manner.
o Receive and direct calls in a phone queue.
o Run daily open order report.
o Coordinate with warehousing to ensure timely shipping and delivery.
o Assist with order placement, tracking, (RGA) returns, and call tags.
o Assist customers with product knowledge.
o Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions that align with company policies and procedures.
o Maintain accurate customer records and order history.
o Work with the finance department to handle invoice disputes, credits, and debits.
o Assist with freight claims.
· Preferred Skills
o Basic knowledge of EDI
o Experience in E-Commerce customer service
o Knowledge of retail compliance requirements (e.g. big box retailers, marketplace)
· Qualifications
o Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on telephone, email, and other electronic channels.
o Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
o Position requires confidence, job knowledge and ability to utilize available resources to provide excellent administrative support.
o Effective skills working as a member of a team and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
· Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
- Microsoft Word and Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
o Microsoft Outlook: 2 years (Preferred)
