As an Early Learner Assistant at Kumon of Tracy South, you will support the educational development of young learners through effective tutoring and teaching strategies. Your core skills in classroom management and experience with children will be essential in creating a positive learning environment. You will also utilize premium skills in curriculum development and learning technology to enhance student engagement. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills are vital for managing data entry and facilitating smooth operations within the center. Requirements:
- We are looking for someone who is of college age and above
- Someone who can commit for 1.5+ years
- Someone who can commit for 2-3 days a week consistently (we are an after school program that typically runs from 3:30PM to 7:00PM (Mon-Thurs))
- Someone who has relevant experience teaching or tutoring children
Responsibilities:
- Working with children of Pre-K ages and up
- Assisting with daily operations
- Providing exemplary customer service to all clients
- Operating and maintaining data entry, while grading homework and classwork
- Curating a personalized lesson plan via the Kumon curriculum for each student you will teach
- Ensuring accuracy and quality via teaching and grading
- Managing inventory of supplies
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
(To start with, we have a month long training process in which the initial pay will be $16 per hour; once the training period is finished, it will raise to $17 per hour. The pay will also be reviewed based on work proficiency on the aforementioned responsibilities.)

- Proficient in the understanding of subjects such as basic elementary mathematics and basic elementary reading

- Ability to be a team player while also maintaining individuality
