Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EDDA to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of dental terminology, and the ability to assist in various clinical procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Placing interproximal fillings is required
- Taking impressions, and scanning with iTero
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Ensure the sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary, including answering phones and checking in patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Experience
- 2-3 years of previous experience as an EDDA/Dental Assistant.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, medical imaging, medical documentation, and medical coding is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using Open Dental.
- A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential.
