Managing construction in Hawaii requires a deep understanding of logistics, material flow, labor coordination, and island-specific permitting and building codes.
This role is a unique opportunity to lead complex electrical scopes in a market that values efficiency, local knowledge, and technical precision.
Position Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full execution of electrical construction projects, with a strong emphasis on high-rise and commercial buildings. You’ll manage field operations, coordinate with contractors and developers, and ensure every project phase aligns with safety, schedule, and budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Manage subcontractors, foremen, field staff, and support teams on-site
- Coordinate with GCs, developers, engineers, and local agencies
- Ensure full compliance with NEC, local Hawaiian codes, and job-specific standards
- Oversee material procurement, RFIs, change orders, and documentation
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in project meetings
- Deliver on-time, on-budget, and high-quality results
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of electrical project management experience
- Demonstrated success in commercial and high-rise construction projects (required)
- Strong understanding of high-rise construction logistics, sequencing, and infrastructure
- Familiarity with Hawaii’s permitting process, building codes, and union workforce (preferred)
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to work full-time in Honolulu, HI
