06/23/2025 - Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the Curricular Frameworks, common and formative assessments, and data-driven dialogue through the PLC structure and Cycles of Continuous Improvement.
- Provide direction and coordination for actualizing the school UIP consistent with 2038/Thinking Classroom and recognized best instructional practices.
- Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources.
- Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels.
- Develop staff members’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through leading a variety of professional learning opportunities.
- Build positive, reciprocal relationships with newly hired 27J educators for the purpose of establishing an environment of trust and collaboration as well as providing emotional support.
- Participate in the monthly Authentic Learning Team facilitated by the Professional Learning Instructional Specialist.
- Model professionalism at all times for the purpose of demonstrating expected behaviors and actions of SD 27J employees.
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Instructional coaching experience strongly preferred. Experience in using data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes is essential.
- CLD knowledge and experience working with second language learners.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with educators and stakeholders.
- Skilled in interpreting and manipulating data to drive instructional decisions.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
- A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
Elementary Instructional Coach (TOSA)
South Elementary is currently seeking an Elementary Instructional Coach (TOSA). This is a full-time, or 1.0 FTE, position with benefits.
Description:
The Instructional Coach (IC) is a critical lever in improving student achievement. The role of the IC is to build teacher capacity and their understanding of best instructional practices as related to the Thinking Classroom/GELL, school and district UIP, curricular frameworks, common assessments, and resources. ICs will promote reflection, provide guidance and structure where needed, and focus on strengths, collaboration, and common issues of concern. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms.
The Instructional Coach serves as: Instructional Coach; Data Coach; Resource Provider; Learning Facilitator; School Leader
