Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Electrician with at least 10 years of field experience, primarily focused on both new commercial construction and existing commercial service work. This role requires someone who can take ownership of mid-size commercial projects ranging from $5,000 to $800,000 often leading 1–3 helpers or apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commercial projects which include new construction shell work as well as existing commercial services. This would include:
-Medical facilities
- Commercial service upgrades
- Panel replacements
- Commercial shells/shell buildouts
- Supervise and guide 1–3 team members on commercial jobsites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Ensure all work complies with the Florida-adopted National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Maintain strong communication with clients, inspectors, and field service manager
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and material logs accurately
- Safely operate tools, vehicles, and equipment
-Responsible for ordering materials for delivery to the job site in a timely manner to prevent down time without materials.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, with a strong commercial background
- Commercial service experience (basic troubleshooting, panel swaps, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of the NEC and Florida electrical code requirements
- Experience leading small crews (1–3 workers)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines
