Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern.
SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the Engineering Electrical Team in designing the electrical power distribution network for auxiliary equipment used in Mitsubishi Power's Gas Turbine projects. The focus will be on low-voltage systems (600V and below), including Motor Control Centers (MCCs), panelboards, low-voltage transformers, DC systems, and batteries.
The intern will work closely with engineering execution teams and receive both short-term and longer-term assignments based on their skill level. Through hands-on project involvement, the intern will gain valuable insight into Mitsubishi Power's engineering tools, documentation standards, and business processes. The goal is to prepare the intern for a full-time engineering role upon graduation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in performing calculations and sizing for electrical components such as breakers, overload devices, cables, conduits, and illumination levels.
- Maintain and update bills of materials and project documentation.
- Read and interpret electrical code requirements, including NEC/NFPA 70, CEC, and IEC standards.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to engineering workflows and documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain regular communication with team members and participate actively in engineering discussions.
- Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education & Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.

Computer Skills:
