About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to help scale our engineering organization for the next phase of growth. You will evolve our operating structure and enhance our processes alongside our team of exceptional software engineers. This role is essential in creating a strong engineering culture that insists on high standards and shipping products. You will be joining a team of over 40 engineering professionals and reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer.

- Leadership: Create strong engineering culture through code review standards, sprint and release planning, and SDLC design; Drive high-priority technical projects and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Technical Aptitude: Be an expert in a component-level and systems-level view of the SevenRooms architecture; assist in architecture review and analysis; Evolve our SDLC to make effective use of tooling and be more measurable and predictable
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management to deliver cross-functional success
We're excited about you because...
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- Expertise with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
- Expertise with cloud-based systems design (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar)
- 3-5+ years of technical leadership and people management experience
- An individual who takes ownership, insists on high standards, and is a team player
- Previous high-growth startup experience is a plus
- Python, React/Redux, Google Cloud experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of both web and mobile platforms

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
