The English program at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces a full-time, non-tenure-track position in English Composition at the instructor rank. The position is available August 2025 for academic year 2025-2026.
The position requires a completed Master’s Degree in English though a Ph.D. in English or Composition & Rhetoric is preferable. We are looking for a motivated candidate with experience in developmental education and a positive, student-centered, teaching approach. The successful candidate will teach developmental writing, first-year, and second-year Composition courses and will collaborate with English faculty in course/program assessment and training for part-time writing instructors.
For this position, the instructor will teach 30 credits per academic year in the general-education Composition sequence.
