ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned

  • Oversee supplemental Title III instruction and directly supervise instructional assistants working with ELL students.
  • Support the use and implementation of language learning and support software.
  • Assist in administering language proficiency and academic assessments for placement, progress monitoring, and program exit.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all ELL students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver differentiated instruction.
  • Use curriculum maps, Indiana State Standards, and student data to plan and support instruction.
  • Help develop and refine curriculum and instructional strategies to support English language acquisition.
  • Provide whole group, small group, and one-on-one instruction using varied teaching techniques tailored to student needs.
  • Maintain academic and progress records for each EL student to inform instruction.
  • Communicate and build partnerships with families to support student learning.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP, 504, and ILP meetings as required.
  • Participate in staff development, training, and school-based professional learning communities.
  • Share effective EL practices and support colleagues through data analysis and instructional collaboration.
  • Maintain strong attendance and follow all school and district policies.
  • Ability to use data to drive instruction and support student growth

LICENSE:

Valid Indiana Teaching License, Valid English Language Learner Certification

ENL or ESL certification preferred (or eligibility for one)

Experience working with ELL students in an elementary setting
