Are you passionate about architecting secure enterprise solutions, driving governance at scale, and enabling technical strategy across mission-critical programs? We're looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect to support a high-visibility program from within the Office of the CIO for the ODNI. The program provides architecture, engineering oversight, governance, policy and process management in various roles and projects within the CIO.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, systems thinking, and technical coordination. You’ll serve as a strategic liaison across multiple mission and IT stakeholders—owning architecture governance processes, tracking and analyzing change impacts, and ensuring the fidelity of enterprise artifacts and documentation. This role combines operations, systems engineering, and executive communication.
Responsibilities:
- Provide enterprise architecture (EA) leadership and expertise for the customer’s CIO organization across infrastructure, systems, and security domains.
- Lead and support enterprise change management activities by coordinating technical reviews, architecture artifacts, and stakeholder engagements.
- Define and refine EA governance processes, including workflows for change control, decision management, and data lineage tracking.
- Maintain accuracy and version control of architecture documentation, models, diagrams, and meeting artifacts across enterprise repositories.
- Coordinate with program offices, mission stakeholders, and senior leadership to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts related to architectural changes.
- Support enterprise meetings and technical working groups by facilitating agendas, capturing action items, distributing minutes, and ensuring closure on decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, progress reports, and briefings that communicate EA status, timelines, and risks to internal and external partners.
- Manage EA tools and repositories, such as MagicDraw, Cameo, System Architect, or other modeling platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 14+ years of professional experience, with 3–5 years supporting an Intelligence Community customer
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture concepts and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DODAF, UAF, Zachman)
- Proven experience managing EA documentation, decision records, and governance processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to independently produce polished documentation and briefings
- Experience in meeting facilitation, schedule coordination, and stakeholder engagement across technical and executive audiences
- Proficiency in EA modeling tools and collaboration platforms (MagicDraw, Cameo, Rhapsody, System Architect, Confluence, SharePoint)
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline
- Familiarity with ODNI or other IC-wide architecture standards and data governance processes
- Formal certifications in one or more architecture frameworks (TOGAF, UAF, SABSA, Zachman)
- Experience supporting enterprise architecture programs in federal government or DoD environments
- Knowledge of cloud transition strategy, legacy modernization, and architecture impact analysis
