Job Summary:The Staging Supervisor will oversee the on-site assembly, installation, and dismantling of staging and infrastructure for events. This position is ideal for someone with a background in entertainment/ live events who thrives in onsite work, fast-paced, hands-on environments. The supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of laborers, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of laborers and subcontractors during the construction, installation, and teardown of stage structures.
- Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-project briefings and safety meetings with the team.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to address any on-site challenges.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and resolve any issues.
- Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and materials on-site.
- Provide hands-on support as needed to assist the team in completing tasks.
- Document daily progress, incident reports, and material usage.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in general construction, entertainment industry, staging, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel for projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the live events or entertainment industry is a plus
- Knowledge of rigging, scaffolding is a plus.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30 and/or forklift operation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $30.00/HR (Based on experience)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
