Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal components and structures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start a career in metal fabrication and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders
- Operate basic fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and hand tools
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding or assembly
- Support welders and senior fabricators in daily tasks
- Follow safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications
- Learn and apply new skills and techniques in metal fabrication
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in fabrication or manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings (training provided)
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment is a plus, but not required
Preferred Skills (not required):
- Basic knowledge of welding (MIG/TIG/Stick)
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/fabrication shop environment
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, and metalworking equipment
- May require occasional overtime depending on production needs
