Job Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s environmental, health, and safety management system to ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. This role involves identifying potential safety and environmental risks, implementing corrective measures, and fostering a strong safety culture. The EHS Supervisor will work closely with production, operations, and management teams to ensure a safe workplace, minimize occupational health risks, and promote sustainable environmental practices. This position is ideal for professionals with strong EHS expertise, risk assessment skills, and a proactive approach to driving safety culture improvements.
Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s EHS management system to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations;
· Assess safety risks in production facilities and implement control measures to ensure employee safety;
· Organize and oversee EHS training to enhance employees' safety awareness and emergency response capabilities;
· Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits, providing recommendations for improvement;
· Develop and update emergency response plans and conduct drills to improve response effectiveness;
· Monitor environmental factors to ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding waste disposal, energy consumption, and sustainability;
· Investigate workplace incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
· Maintain effective communication with regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of all required safety and environmental reports;
· Support other departments in improving safety and environmental performance and fostering a culture of workplace safety.
Requirements
· Experience: At least three years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in transformer or heavy equipment manufacturing;
· Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant regulations;
· Skills: Ability to develop and implement EHS policies independently, with strong risk assessment and incident investigation capabilities;
· Communication: Excellent teamwork and cross-departmental communication skills, with the ability to effectively train employees and promote an EHS culture.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field;
· Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30-hour certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
