The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operation of the Environmental Services department, as well as serving as an environmental services technician in their area of expertise and in accordance with determined departmental business need. The position will collaborate with the Facilities/Security Manager to coordinate and evaluate department activities to ensure a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to patients, visitors and staff. Oversees service requests, supplies, equipment and staff scheduling. The Environmental Services Supervisor serves as a link between team members and leadership regarding policies, protocols, procedures and events, may be asked to lead Quality Investigations such as A3 or root cause analysis to optimize departmental services, and is trained to provide guidance for the management of and compliance with regulatory standards.
Work Schedule: FTE 1.0, 40 hours weekly, 8am-4:30pm (time change as needed), on call rotating weekends.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities of all leadersRequired Qualifications:
Works cooperatively and in coordination with overlapping organizational services, including but not limited to: Nursing, Infection Prevention, and Safety Officer to evaluate quality, accuracy and integrity of cleaning services.
Creates a productive team environment in areas of responsibility that promotes initiative, innovation and continued learning, and a strong operating team which reinforces the Head + Heart, Together and Living Our Values culture.
Collaborates with the Facilities/Security Manager to identify growth and process improvement strategies, develop tactics to meet goals, and determine and monitor appropriate metrics for success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school, college or related experience is preferred.

License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and/or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certifications or trainer designation preferred, or able to obtain within 2 years of hire.
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred if eligible.
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members and leadership.
Experience with typical Environmental Services equipment/machinery.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the principles of environmental infection prevention and control.
