Benchmark Companies is seeking applicants for a temporary position in Kerrville, Texas. This equipment operator position is needed for approximately 8 weeks. Applicants will be expected to work each day, rain or shine, for the duration of this assignment.
Our company creates landscape mulch by processing tree debris through wood waste grinders. The primary role of this applicant will be to operate heavy equipment (excavators, wheel loaders, dozers) to push material away from the discharge belt of the grinders and stack the mulch or vegetative debris in a pile. This position requires that the operator maintains his own machine (greasing, blowing out air filters, etc with company provided equipment and parts)
Requirements
- Previous experience as a heavy equipment operator or similar role preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain the loader or excavator
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication
