We are seeking Estimators to join our team. The Estimator will assist in estimating materials for orders, consulting on products, and sales support. The majority of time will be spent creating estimates using a computer based program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates.
- Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews documents and understands scope of work.
- Use drawing program to transpose information for General Contractor's relative to our systems.
- Approve insulation bills and confirmations.
- Inputs take-offs into computer spreadsheet.
- Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
- Makes an estimate where predetermined standard(s) are not available.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Experience with fabrication and construction.
- Ability to apply math and analytical skills including mathematical formulas.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to apply knowledge necessary for application of computerized spreadsheet and drawing programs.
- Ability to communicate concisely and professionally, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $46,500.00 per year
