Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional guest services and have a strong understanding of food service operations. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the restaurant's point-of-sale system.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and communicate any special dietary needs or allergies.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting for the next guests to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on guest services and teamwork.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is beneficial.
