Job Title: Event Photographer – Seattle Socials Black-Tie Gala
Event Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025
Hours: Approx. 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM (including setup)
Location: Sodo, Seattle, WA
Compensation: $400 flat rate
About the Role
Seattle Socials is hosting an unforgettable black-tie gala with a few hundred attendees, live music, dancing, and dazzling entertainment. We are seeking a talented and reliable Event Photographer to capture both formal portraits and candid moments that showcase the energy and elegance of the evening.
In this role, you’ll set up and operate a portrait station for guests before moving through the venue to capture the magic of the event as it unfolds.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on-site prior to doors opening to set up equipment and lighting for the portrait photo wall (10' wide x 7.5' high; provided by Seattle Socials).
- Capture high-quality portrait shots of attendees from 6:00–7:30 PM.
- Provide a method for each attendee to digitally receive their portraits (e.g., QR code, email link, online gallery).
- From 7:30–9:00 PM, roam the event capturing candid images of dancing guests, the live band, and other highlights.
- Supply your own professional camera equipment and lighting gear.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event photography (gala, wedding, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to manage quick turnaround for photo delivery.

Pay: $400.00 per day
