We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Access Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access control systems, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security systems and have hands-on experience with various tools and technologies.
Duties
- Install and configure access control systems, including alarm systems and surveillance equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on existing security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize cabling techniques to connect devices and ensure proper functionality.
- Work with remote access software to manage user permissions and system settings.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely while performing installations and repairs.
- Build custom solutions as needed, adhering to NEC standards for electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer systems involved in access control.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and system updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in alarm system sales or installation is preferred.
- Familiarity with cabling practices and techniques for secure installations.
- Knowledge of remote access software applications for managing security systems.
- Experience with surveillance technology, including cameras and monitoring equipment.
- Proficiency in working with various security systems and understanding their components.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively in a safe manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware relevant to security systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
