Davis Dance , LLC is a small growing studio in Pilot Point, TX. We are professional, agile, professional and our goal is to train up young students offering dance technique and knowledge while having fun.
We now have expanded to TWO dance rooms and are looking for more long term instructors to help teach various styles of dance with block scheduling. Candidate must specify what style of Dance and what age group they excel with.
Candidate will need to have a teachable attitude in regards to teaching different levels and work well with student's and their families. We are looking for someone who know how to encourage students growth and joy for movement. Dependability , communication, and punctuality are very important.
There may be opportunity for Director's Assistant position.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines in a variety of styles such as ballet, theater, and contemporary
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their dance skills
- Coordinate and organize dance recitals, performances, and competitions
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop curriculum and lesson plans
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance education
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dance instructor or in a related role
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in ballet, contemporary, or other dance styles
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students of all ages
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching dance
- Knowledge of sewing or costume design is a plus
- Experience in tutoring, theater, special education, or childhood development is beneficial
