Boeing Stores Inc. is a fully integrated global subsidiary of The Boeing Company. It is responsible for extending and protecting Boeing’s brand through face-to-face and digital brand experiences. Branded merchandise management includes product development and marketing through internal and external global channels, physical retail, mobile, digital, wholesale, internal merchandise support and consumer product licensing. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented ExperiencedDigital Specialist(Virtual) with extensive experience in Shopify, specifically as a back-end operations specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automations, maintaining the tech stack, optimizing data flows, and documenting setups. While the role will involve enhancing both front-end and back-end user experiences, the primary focus will be on ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance from a back-end perspective. Strong project management skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will be responsible for coordinating various operational tasks and ensuring efficient processes within the Shopify environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Platform Modernization and Maintenance:
Manages and maintains the Shopify back-end, ensuring smooth operation and integration with other systems or applications
Builds and maintains automations to streamline back-end operations for Shopify
Optimizes data flows and ensure efficient management of the tech stack
Documents setups and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to order maintenance for Boeingstore.com, Team Boeing Access, Boeingteamwear.com, including return support
Researches and evaluates Shopify apps and current integrations to enhance operational efficiency
Analyzes down and upstream impacts of system changes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions
Leads maintenance projects, including abandoned cart recovery and system integrations, to improve overall user experience and operational performance
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices in back-end operations and resolve operational challenges
Stays updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve back-end processes
Oversees compliance management for Shopify platforms, ensuring adherence to both Shopify and Boeing IT security standards and requirements
Reviews website content for accuracy and ensures compliance with brand standards
Project Management:
Develops and manages project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule
Coordinates with cross-functional teams to align project goals and objectives
Monitors project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Identifies potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
Maintains detailed documentation of processes, workflows, and project milestones
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, UX, or a related field
Proven experience with Shopify, including both front-end and back-end functionalities
Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
Capability to communicate technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-technical team members
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JSON, Shopify APIs and JavaScript
Knowledge of analytics tools to track and report on website performance
Ability to understand and communicate both technical and non-technical concepts and instructions with ease and confidence
Experience working with continuous changing requirements
Proactive self-starter who independently seeks out training and information to take initiative without waiting for instructions
Able to apply critical thinking to identify and resolve technical or operational issues, including learning and troubleshooting integrations or process flows
Actively pursue opportunities to grow and enhance your skillset
Foster collaboration by listening carefully, seeking to understand, and offering support

Summary pay range: $66,300 - $103,500
