About the Position
Weathervane Home Energy is a new Home Performance Contractor in the Mass Save Program founded in 2024 providing no cost home energy assessments, insulation, heating and cooling, and electrification solutions to Massachusetts residents. The owner’s of the organization bring 30+ years of industry experience leading and growing Home Performance Contractor’s in this space.
We are looking for weatherization installers to join our team to help deliver meaningful install savings measures to Massachusetts residents. General Responsibilities
· Work in 2-3 person teams to complete weatherization jobs daily
· Arrive at our office daily by 6:30am to clean and load the truck for the day
· Meet required monthly revenue targets and maintain acceptable return rate
· Work inside and outside in all conditions; rain, snow, hot, and cold
· Communicate with home owners and conduct yourself responsibly in a customer’s home
· Install various types of insulation, foam board, and complete air sealing in attics, kneewalls, and crawlspaces
· Remove siding, drill holes, and blow insulation into exterior walls, often times working on ladders
· Install ventilation on roofs, soffits, and gables
· Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
· Maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times
· Excellent people skills and focus on superior customer service
· Must be able to work on ladders, roofs, confined spaces and heights up to 40′
· Must be on-time daily, prepared, and ready to work
· Timely completion and accuracy of all work
· Working closely and harmoniously with other employees and be a team player
· Performing and documenting complete operational checks for all equipment
· Complete install practices in a safe working manner
· Possession of a valid Driver’s License (preferred, but not required
· Ability to perform overtime and/or on call duties as required
· Experience in the Mass Save Program or other energy efficiency programs is a plus
Work Conditions:
· May perform work both indoors and outdoors as needed
· May be exposed to inclement weather conditions and other work conditions including excessive heat, cold, wind, snow and storms
· Requires extensive standing, walking, kneeling and bending
· May be periodically required to lift items in excess of 50 lbs
· Frequently exposed to noise, dust, dirt and other related hazards
Compensation:
· Hourly compensation with a weekly bonus based on completed jobs
o Receive a percentage of the revenue you install
o Target range for weekly earnings is $1500-$2500 per week
· $20 per hour training pay for the first month with no experience
