Job Responsibilities:
- Sales-Focused Treatment Coordination: Manage the entire patient treatment journey, from consultation to post-treatment, with a strong emphasis on converting consultations into successful treatments through expert sales techniques and patient care.
- Consultation & Case Presentation: Meet with patients to present customized treatment options, answer their questions, and close deals while ensuring they feel comfortable and confident about their decision.
- Financial Discussions: Lead discussions regarding treatment costs, payment plans, and insurance options, ensuring clarity and alignment with the patient’s financial situation. Handle financial negotiations and close treatments in a friendly, patient-focused way.
- Building Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, their families, and referring offices. Offer support, care, and ongoing communication to foster trust and patient retention.
- Patient Education: Help patients understand the benefits of treatment, educate them on the process, and provide guidance to ensure they’re fully informed about their options.
- Follow-Up & Progress Tracking: Monitor patient progress, check in regularly, and ensure that they are adhering to their treatment plans. Re-engage patients as needed to ensure they stay on track.
- Appointment Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate and schedule consultations, treatment starts, and follow-up appointments efficiently to keep the office running smoothly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the orthodontic team to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for each patient. Communicate effectively with the doctor and staff to ensure treatments are moving forward as planned.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment details and financial information, in our practice management software.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an orthodontic treatment coordinator or similar role in a sales-driven healthcare environment. Experience in treatment planning and patient interaction is required.
- Sales-Driven: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, with the ability to close treatment plans effectively and professionally.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present treatment plans and financial information in a clear and approachable manner.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Comfort and experience working in a high-energy, fast-paced office where multi-tasking and staying organized are key to success.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using orthodontic practice management software (e.g., Ortho2, etc.) and other office tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Team-Oriented: A positive, upbeat team player who can collaborate effectively with doctors, assistants, and front office staff.
- Insurance Knowledge (Preferred): Experience with understanding and verifying insurance benefits, handling claims, and explaining coverage to patients is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Experience in customer service, healthcare, or sales positions.
