Description
Maintains a safe environment for patient, unit, and coworkers. Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall effort of the hospital to provide excelllent customer service. Provides direct patient care with appropriate documentation under the supervision of a lic entsed nurse. Always acts in accordance to State Nurse Practice Act, and accepts no inappropriate delegated assignemnts. Assists licensed personnel by completeing supportive functions for maximum patient outcomes. Assists licensed personel by providing activities related to the plan of care to improve customer satifsaction and provide optimal outcomes. Contributers to the delivers of quality, cost effective health care. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. Meets mandatory requirements as determined by hospital policy and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
Educational requirements and/or preferences Adademic: Nursing student with successful completion of minimally one semester of a NLN accredited Associates Degreee program or four sememsters of a NLN accredited Bachelors Degree program. A minimom 3.0 GPA in all college classes is required. Continuing Education/Hospital In-Service: Attends all man datory hospital in-servies (i.e. Safety, Infection Control, BLS). Completion of hospital and unit orientation. Must have current CPR card.
