Western Valley Meat is proud to be a family-owned company, committed to supporting our communities in the Valley. We produce high quality meat items that are sold at grocery stores and restaurants in both the US and around the world.
We are adding team members to our Fabrication General Production Departments to perform a variety of roles and tasks in the initial step of the meat processing facility. The Fabrication team sets the high standard for the cleanliness and safety of the products we produce.
Tasks used to accomplish our goal can include, but are not limited to the following:
Position Description
- Using tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other specialized manufacturing equipment
- Skinning. Trimming, Sorting, Hanging and Inspection of Carcasses and other edible offal products; etc.
- Loading Product into machines, packaging, and boxing, labeling and scaling of product.
- Work Schedules Range from 545am to 615am depending on specific job.
- Starting Hourly Wage is $17.00 for the 90 day probationary period
- Pay goes up depending on the specific job awarded at time of hire. Range is $19.10 to $23.00
Routine tasks include, but are not limited to, performing the following:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms to do simple gripping and grasping.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects.
- Position requires the use of knives and hooks.
- Cold environment. Average temperature ranges from 40-49 degrees.
- Ability to follow general workplace safety procedures and policies while wearing required personal protective equipment.
