Facilities Manager - Christ the King Lutheran Church
Assist the Director of Operations, Early Learning Center, and church staff by keeping our facility operating at peak performance through maintaining the property and equipment, purchasing supplies, planning, and carrying out ministry support tasks. Part-Time Non-Exempt, 15-20 hours per week
Responsibilities
Supervision
- Coordinate contractors by overseeing work, promoting good relationships, and ensuring projects are completed within time and budget constraints
Oversee facility/property
- Routinely evaluate, maintain, repair, and upgrade all building systems and equipment
- Routinely evaluate, maintain, repair, upgrade or coordinate the upkeep of facility/property. This includes the church buildings, parking lot, Prayer Garden, Community Garden and lot, Fisher Rental Property
- Coordinate the storage and retention of ministry items and supplies
Planning
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations to inventory and purchase supplies and to prepare the maintenance and upgrade plan and budget
- Ensure the facility/property, equipment, and supplies meet current health, fire, and safety codes and standards
Ministry Support
- Point of contact for meeting, event and funeral setup, including setting out chairs and tables.
- Point of contact for the construction and repair of projects for various ministries within the facility/property (such as Early Learning Center items, stage set design, and youth and children events)
- Other duties as assigned
May require work on occasional nights and weekends
Physical requirements include using ladders, stairs, and power tools, as well as moving objects of 30 pounds.
Note: this position has the option to start before September 1, 2025
