Sobieski, Messer & Elledge in Knoxville is adding an attorney to our family law practice group. This position requires a candidate who can independently hit the ground running to manage a busy docket of family law clients. We prefer a candidate with experience in civil litigation-motion and trial practice, ideally in family law or another similar practice area.
We are looking for applicants who can work within a team and still be a self-starter and highly motivated. It is critical in this position for a candidate to possess a high level of empathy and patience for clients going through difficult circumstances.

Full-time or part-time is available. The timing of hire is flexible.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Family Law with a focus on litigation
- Proficiency in legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing and legal drafting skills
- Familiarity with family law
- Ability to negotiate effectively in legal matters
- Legal administrative experience is a plus
