We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who can deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients. The successful candidate will work as a team with our nurses and physicians and will assist in delivering premium care to each and every patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; managing wounds and infections.
- Instructs and counsels patients by promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience
- Completing an accredited post-graduate Nurse Practitioner educational program or
- BSc/MA in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science
- Obtaining a Registered Nurse license in appropriate state
- Possessing an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in appropriate state
- Having prescriptive privileges in appropriate state
- Specialized care experience
- Bilingual is a plus
- Additional nurse practitioner certifications
- Electronic medical record experience
- Proven work experience as a physician assistant or nurse
- Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery
- Familiarity with advancements in medical technology and current know-how
- Problem solving skills and ability to multitask
- Caring and compassionate
- Team player with good communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
