Job Description:
The Fare Products Consultant is responsible with assisting in the strategy, development, and performance of the Southwest Airlines fare products. This will be role responsible for partnering across the organization to ensure the optimal holistic outcome for the fare product portfolio. The Consultant will also deliver updates on KPIs and holistic measures including product conversion, profitability, and competitive placement.

Responsibilities
Establish the vision, strategy, and goals for the fare product portfolio
Support decision making and maintain perspective on current and future product attributes; develop roadmap of product innovations and enhancement opportunities
Execute product management strategies and advise partners to ensure cohesive execution; this includes merchandising, go-to-market, pricing, financial performance, customer experience, and operational execution
Deliver insights on product positioning and competitive differentiation
Deliver insights from market research to inform product strategy and decisions
Synthesize data and trends into effective storylines to keep organization informed on results and priorities; efficiently influence with both written and verbal messaging
Track performance KPIs, communicate holistic performance trends, and advise on actions to improve performance
Analyze business data to diagnose performance trends
Executes against critical data and reporting needs to support product strategies
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments in order to influence business decisions
Experienced in product development, project and/or product management
Experienced in mathematics, analytics, and problem solving, with focus on KPI and performance management
Experienced in executive-level communications, with ability to communicate effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, influencing outcomes, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
Experienced in formatting and presenting data and information
Experienced in demonstrating high emotional intelligence in various situations dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
Experienced in handling high volumes of work, prioritizing effectively, and hitting promised timelines with high-quality deliverables with minimal leadership oversight
Experienced in self-motivation and functioning autonomously in regular activities
Experienced in management of airline products preferred
Experienced in Microsoft Excel and Power Point (building, formatting, presenting, etc.
Knowledge of business case development, cost/benefit trade-offs and return on investment analysis
Knowledge of revenue management strategies
Knowledge of technology and digital development and processes
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Travel industry product evolution
Product and financial performance
Performance management data and reporting capabilities
Strategic problem solving
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $100,700 - $111,900* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
