We have partnered with a distinguished ultra-luxury resort in Cape Cod to recruit an experienced and passionate Farm Manager to oversee an 8-acre resort farm and farm stand. This unique role combines hands-on agricultural expertise with the guest-focused standards of luxury hospitality, ensuring the farm becomes both a source of high-quality produce and a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the 8-acre farm, including crop planning, planting, harvesting, soil management, and pest control
- Oversee greenhouse operations, specialty crops, herbs, and seasonal produce for resort restaurants, spa, and retail outlets
- Operate and manage the on-site farm stand, ensuring exceptional guest interaction, retail presentation, and product quality
- Collaborate with the resort’s culinary team to align crop planning with menu needs and farm-to-table programming
- Maintain sustainable and regenerative farming practices that align with the resort’s environmental commitments
- Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff, fostering a team culture centered on quality, accountability, and guest engagement
- Manage farm budgets, procurement, and equipment maintenance while optimizing yield and reducing waste
- Partner with the marketing and guest experience teams to develop farm tours, workshops, and events that enhance the resort’s lifestyle offerings
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in small-scale, diversified farming, with proven success managing farm operations and leading teams. Experience supplying farm-to-table hospitality operations is highly preferred. Knowledge of regenerative agriculture, greenhouse operations, and guest-facing farm experiences will be key to success. This is a highly visible role that requires a blend of agricultural expertise, business acumen, and hospitality sensibility.
