Job Summary: Perform various duties related to a retail farm stand operation, including receiving produce and other food deliveries; washing and stocking produce; providing customer service, including use of a cash register to make sales and managing cash; and other tasks related to maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming retail environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
A. Excellent customer service ability.
B. Working knowledge of produce, including handling and storage.
C. Demonstrate accurate and responsible management of a cash register, including counting back change.
D. Understand and adhere to all food safety practices and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in daily work.
E. Perform or assist in the opening and closing duties of the stand.
F. Maintain the upkeep of the farm stand.
G. Work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
H. Available to work weekdays and weekends.
I. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Performs work independently under general supervision from Director of Operations. Must be self-motivated with ability to work without direct supervision.
B. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education: None.
B. Experience: Experience with retail and/or agriculture is a plus.
C. Skills & Abilities:

11) Physical Demands: Frequent standing and walking. May be required to periodically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds .
12) Work Environment: The employee is expected to work with a “WE” attitude and a commitment to team participation.
