Position Purpose
Team with others to fabricate, assemble, layup, form, trim, finish, and inspect a wide variety of structural and non-structural fiberglass, and other composite and metal parts, tools, and assemblies. Work from engineering requirements, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and establish processes and procedures, to assure the timely delivery of quality products to the customer. Tasks performed will require continuous improvement of overall efficiencies, such as, but not limited to, product conveyance and multi-tasking where applicable. The technician must be capable of consistently performing to established budgets, schedules, and quality requirements as defined by the company.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read, interpret, understand and execute with precision engineering requirements (blueprints), work orders, process specifications, and other technical documents.
- Ability to fabricate, manufacture, and assemble composite and mechanical components with precision to quality requirements and technical documents.
- Ability to move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, etc.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and other instruments in the fabrication and assembly of products.
- Ability to perform hand layup and infusion composite manufacturing techniques and mechanical assembly with precision.
- Ability to sand, buff, and perform surface finishing of composite materials.
- Ability to convert to/from metric and standard systems, and calculate fractions and perform basic math functions including subtraction, multiplication, and division with precision

Qualifications
- Accurately read blue prints
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to use measuring tapes, and other hand and machining tools
- Must possess 20/20 corrected vision, able to pass color vision test and hearing test.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity in order to accomplish necessary tasks.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.
- Able to work alternate shifts and overtime as required.
- Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
Preferences
- Understanding of hand lay-up fiberglass fabrication.
- English Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret fabrication drawings, work instructions, and technical procedures.
- 3-5 years experience in aerospace manufacturing
- IPC 620 experience
Work Requirements
- Work safely near moving mechanical parts; using appropriate PPE.
- Work in high, precarious places; utilizing appropriate fall restraint equipment.
- Fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals – within OSHA approved levels;
