Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Field Metal Panel Operator to join our roofing team. This role involves operating and maintaining metal panel machines on job sites, transporting equipment, and performing troubleshooting or basic repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work safely with heavy materials and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and operate metal panel machines at various job sites
- Drive company vehicles with attached equipment (e.g., trailers or machines)
- Set up, run, and monitor metal panel forming machines according to specifications
- Handle and load heavy and sharp metal materials safely
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on metal panel equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field as instructed
- Operate forklifts and assist with loading/unloading materials
- Follow safety procedures and maintain job site organization
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical instructions
- Experience operating forklifts and other construction equipment
- Comfortable handling heavy and sharp materials
- Ability to perform minor repairs and troubleshoot equipment on-site
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the roofing or metal fabrication industry
- Prior experience operating portable roll forming equipment
-Bilingual is a plus
