About the role:
As a Field Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing both the on-site execution and administrative coordination of commercial construction projects. This hybrid role blends the tactical leadership of a Superintendent with the strategic responsibilities of a Project Manager. You will plan and manage workloads, coordinate field crews and subcontractors, and proactively resolve job site challenges to keep projects on track. You’ll also collaborate closely with sales, estimating, and project management teams, as well as general contractors and clients, to ensure quality, safety, and successful project delivery on time and within budget.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and manage daily workloads, project schedules, and resource needs, adjusting proactively to meet deadlines and project goals.
- Oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality and manufacturer standards.
- Serve as the main on-site liaison, facilitating clear communication with installers, general contractors, project managers, sales teams, and clients to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.
- Coordinate job scope and sequencing with other trades to prevent conflicts and support smooth site operations.
- Monitor site conditions and enforce safety protocols, fostering a strong safety culture and addressing risks promptly.
- Ensure material and equipment availability, proper handling, and secure on-site storage to prevent damage, loss, or delays.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings (sub/foreman meetings, internal coordination), representing field operations and aligning on next steps.
- Track and document extra work outside of scope, collaborating with project teams to manage change orders and cost implications.
- Use construction management software (e.g., Procore, BIM 360) for documentation, punch lists, scheduling, and field reporting.
- Support administrative tasks including reporting, compliance, and project closeout, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
Who you are:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in commercial construction in roles such as Superintendent, Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager, with proven experience managing field operations and coordinating with project teams.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, interact effectively with clients, crews, and cross-functional teams, and maintain a professional and presentable appearance on job sites.
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing time and meeting deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- You’re a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to quickly assess challenges, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- You are experienced with construction management software (e.g., Procore, BIM 360) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with confidence in data entry and project tracking tools.
- You demonstrate strong leadership in the field, setting clear expectations, promoting accountability, and fostering a safety-first culture among your team and trade partners.
- You work independently with initiative but thrive in collaborative environments, valuing teamwork and supporting shared project goals without ego.
- You confidently delegate tasks to installers and subcontractors to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality work.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent; a construction-related degree is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required — this is a strong plus for communicating with diverse field teams.
Physical Demands:
This role involves both field and site-based responsibilities and requires physical stamina, awareness, and a strong commitment to safety. You’ll regularly need to talk, listen, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach. Manual dexterity is important, as you'll frequently handle tools, materials, and equipment. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required. Work is performed in active construction environments, where the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)—including safety goggles, gloves, ear protection, and hard hats—is mandatory to ensure safety during installations.
Work Environment:
This full-time position is primarily out in the field Monday-Friday in Denver, CO and surrounding areas, with administrative tasks being completed at our Denver office location. On occasion you may be required to work evenings/weekends/overnight stays.
Compensation:
$57,000 - $74,000 per year
