You’ll be the face of Hamrick in the field, leading installations, solving complex mechanical issues, mentoring others, and ensuring our high-performance packaging machinery runs smoothly in diverse production environments. What You’ll Be Doing
- Take the lead in on-site installation, service, and troubleshooting of advanced Hamrick packaging systems.
- Own the customer relationship in the field — ensuring satisfaction through expert-level support and communication.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on mechanical, electrical, and basic controls systems, solving complex issues with confidence.
- Train customer staff and junior technicians on operation, safety, and maintenance best practices.
- Travel nationwide (and occasionally to Canada/Mexico) to support machine start-ups and service needs.
- Provide real-time feedback to engineers and support teams to improve products and documentation.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and service reporting, ensuring full visibility for the team.
- Stay current with industry developments and evolving technologies — and bring new ideas to the table.

What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of experience in a hands-on field service technician role, preferably with complex industrial or packaging equipment.
- Expert knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with comfort in control systems and troubleshooting PLCs.
- High level of comfort with technical documentation, schematics, and field-testing tools.
- Clear communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% (U.S., Canada, and Mexico).
- Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied on-site environments.
Bonus Points
- Experience leading installations or mentoring junior technicians.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens control platforms.
- Solid understanding of low-voltage systems and color-coded wiring.
