The George Howe Company, a national distributor & manufacturer of coffee, nuts, and confectionery products, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service and manage our beverage equipment, including coffee machines, juice dispensers, and refrigeration systems used in hotels, restaurants, and other commercial settings.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair coffee and juice dispensing equipment at customer locations.
- Transport and assemble new or refurbished equipment and ensure proper electrical and plumbing connections.
- Calibrate equipment to meet performance standards.
- Maintain detailed service logs, tracking locations, equipment, repairs, and parts.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all coffee and beverage equipment, including refrigeration systems.
- Manage customer relationships through responsive and effective service.
- Order and replace parts as necessary for repairs.
- Support miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the service manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in electrical and plumbing systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair beverage dispensing systems.
- Excellent communication skills to work with both customers and team members.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with tools like multimeters, thermometers, and refractometers.
- Previous experience working with coffee equipment, refrigeration systems, or juice dispensers.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and assist with equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and drive up to 3.5 hours at a time.
