As Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting daily field operations by coordinating tasks, assisting technicians, and ensuring team adherence to company standards. This role involves monitoring emails, parts ordering, timecard review, customer service, safety enforcement, and conducting quality checks. The position plays a key role in helping field teams stay on track and deliver top-quality service.


Essential Job Functions

All essential job functions are to adhere to "The Company" standards.

  • Installation, MaintenanceTechnical Support:
    • Perform hands-on installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of systems in accordance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by providing real-time support to technicians in the field when they encounter complex or unfamiliar problems.
    • Repair or replace defective components, wiring, or equipment as needed.
    • Reassemble and test systems after repairs are completed.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Field OversightTeam Support:
    • Provide daily supervision of field activities to promote productivity and safety.
    • Support coordination of work among field staff and ensure alignment with job expectations.
    • Help coach and guide technicians and apprentices in best practices and proper procedures.
    • Monitor work progress and communicate concerns to leadership if delays or issues arise.
    • Serve as a point of contact between field teams and office staff.
  • Parts CoordinationInventory:
    • Ensure all parts are properly tracked, logged, and maintained in usable condition.
    • Enforce proper handling, usage, and storage of parts in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Monitor part usage and initiate reorders as needed to avoid project delays.
  • SafetyPolicy Compliance:
    • Promote and reinforce job site safety and company policies.
    • Participate in safety training and encourage safe tool use and behavior.
    • Ensure all team members are following required safety protocols on site.
  • Quality AssuranceCustomer Service:
    • Conduct visual inspections of completed work to verify quality and accuracy.
    • Help ensure work is completed according to company and regulatory standards.
    • Respond to customer questions or concerns and support technicians during service calls.
    • Assist with flat-rate pricing calculations and customer payment collection when required.
    • Monitor callback trends and communicate observations to leadership.
  • TimekeepingDocumentation:
    • Review and verify daily technician timecards for accuracy and completeness.
    • Make necessary adjustments for missed punches or time discrepancies using GPS and job data as references.
    • Ensure all timekeeping aligns with company policies and payroll processing deadlines.
    • Communicate with team members to resolve timecard issues in a timely manner.
    • Documentreport unusual findings or trends to upper management.
  • CommunicationCollaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with technicians, dispatch, coordination, and management.
    • Relay schedule changes, job expectations, and field updates to team members.
    • Support coordination of dispatch responses and ensure prompt customer service follow-through.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors or leadership.
    • Encourage continued learning and skill development within the team.


Required Skills and Experience

  • A Journeyman or Master Trade License required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of hands-on trade experience.
  • Strong knowledge of systems, local codes, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of company policies.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Service Titan, ADP, and other company systems.

Working Conditions


Environment

  • Will work both indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold to very hot and humid.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Evening and/or early morning, and/or weekend and holiday hours periodically are required.
