Skagit River Reman is currently hiring for a full time Filing room Helper. This is an entry level position that is the perfect first step to laying a foundation for building a career as a Journeyman Saw Filer.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with moving bandsaws up to 32' long including loading them and unloading them from machines
- Assist with grinding, swaging, shaping and benching stellite bandsaws
- Grind guide blocks
- Help maintain an organized and clean work area
- Transport saws as needed between locations
Minimum Requirements:
- No experience required, but experience with metal working is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Basic understanding of sawmill/planer mill manufacturing operations
- Observe all safety rules and work in an efficient manner
- Must be dependable and show ability to follow directions
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Ability work overtime as needed
