Responsible for:
Financial performance- Agency Network
Perform monthly reviews of the main balance sheet aggregates, Profit & Loss Statement, and cash flow statements and summarize the main risks (tax, forex, other non-recurring events)
Responsible for the proper and punctual delivery of the reporting by the agency network (treasury, consolidation, taxes, etc.)
Ensure external audit reports are issued on time as per group and local requirements
Perform specific financial analysis requested by head office or region directions.
Point of contact for any legal corporate request such as account approvals, dividend distribution, capital restructuration, etc.
Support thelocal teams (IFRS, accounting treatment of acquisition/ merger, etc.)
Strategy & Business partnering
Monitor the project initiatives in the region: development, restructuring, funding, IT projects, transformation
Compliance
Perform monthly testing to ensure of the correct application of internal control key control as per Group Internal Control instructions and follow up corrective actions are implemented in case of deficiency identified
Follow up internal audit recommendation and ensure any deficiency identified is handled locally
Finance organization
Implement in the local organizations the target operating model and ensure that all organization in the region are in line with group objectives
Responsible for the efficiency of the finance team in the network
local teams (IFRS, accounting treatment of acquisition/ merger, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of container shipping industry
Working knowledge in informatic and analytics tools, and presentation of information
Solid knowledge of accounting/finance principles
Advanced skill with Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel
Ability to with high level of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with strong presentation skills
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, and to skillfully gather and analyze complex information
Proven ability to work independently and in team environment
Accepts responsibility and accountability with focus on results
Ability to monitor and manage priorities and work on multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to plan and organize the work to reach objectives in a timely manner
Ability to work with integrity and ethically and to be able to work transversally throughout different hierarchical levels in the organization
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Must be available for frequent international travel 40-60%
