We are looking for an Financial Analyst / Accountant who will report directly to the CFO and Senior Management.
Job Responsibilities
Accounting & Operational Support:
- Collaborate closely with A/R, A/P, and Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile intercompany activity and prepare chargebacks and internal funding between entities.
- Enter and verify Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Review and maintain accurate general ledger postings and account classifications.
- Support internal audits and prepare documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives across departments.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular financial statement analysis to identify variances, trends, and opportunities.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, including building budget models and collaborating with department heads.
- Contribute to forecasting activities on a rolling basis to support operational and strategic planning.
- Perform variance analysis on budget-to-actuals and forecast-to-actuals and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide baseline forensic accounting support including tracing discrepancies and identifying potential risk areas.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data used in decision-making.
- Participate in cash flow analysis and assist with liquidity planning.
- Review P&L statements for accuracy and misclassification.
Other Responsibilities:
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and ensure proper data backups.
- Provide support on bank reporting and bank classification reconciliation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO or senior management.
Pay and Benefits:
- Full-time salaried position
- Salary: $60k - $70k based on experience
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *In office position
- Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits after 30 days of employment, first of the next month
- PTO Accrual after 30 days of employment.
- 401K after 6 months of employment
Requirements
- 5-10+ years experience in financial accounting.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like NetSuite and QuickBooks a plus
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to think outside the box when dealing with non-standard processing, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Have a passion for learning, continuous improvement, and personal growth.
- Proficiency with NetSuite a plus
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
