ABOUT THE POSITION
Financial Analysts independently perform responsible analytical work in support of Court-wide financial, statistical, contract, procurement, budgetary, procedural, data related, legislative, organizational and other management goals and objectives. Assignments are typically received in terms of expected outcomes and incumbents are expected to act independently to develop required information. Assigned projects may include statistical and data analysis, policy development, budget development, legislative analysis or other areas specific to the assignment. Incumbents are expected to exercise independent judgment in selecting study approach and analytical techniques and in making sound recommendations based on study results. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis and Reporting – Perform financial analyses and prepare periodic and ad-hoc financial reports.
- Budget Development and Administration – Participate in budget planning, development, implementation, and administration.
- Contract and Procurement Management – Prepare requests for proposals, coordinate evaluation committees, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Grant and Program Management – Develop and monitor grant applications and contracts, and report on program activities and performance.
- Research and Special Projects – Conduct research and analysis on assigned projects and complete special planning and research projects.
THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:
OPTION I: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, finance, accounting, economics, public policy, or a closely related field* -AND- one (1) year of responsible experience involving budget and financial or accounting analysis.
OPTION II: Five (5) years of recent experience performing accounting and administrative support functions involving budget and financial or accounting analysis
Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and experience using Excel, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, Access, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Visual Basic and/or any of the Court's case management systems.
- Experience in governmental budget/finance in a public sector organization.

ASSESSMENT: Applicants who best meet job-related qualifications will be invited to participate in the examination process that may consist of any combination of written, performance, or oral appraisal to evaluate further job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants who successfully pass each (and all) recruitment steps will be placed on an eligible list which will remain active for approximately six (6) months and may be invited to participate in a selection interview. Other vacancies may be filled using this list.
