The Financial Analyst – FP&A will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This position will work closely with the Director of FP&A and other cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights and financial analysis that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both accounting and finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
This position will primarily work in an office setting but will also require time on the manufacturing floor to support financial analysis related to production, costing, and operational efficiency. This role requires working in a dynamic environment with a mix of strategic, analytical, and hands-on work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Assist in the development and execution of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and business planning.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for leadership review.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews, identifying trends and risks.
- Offer insight and recommendations based on financial performance.
Operational & Manufacturing Support
- Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to analyze production costs, inventory, and efficiency metrics.
- Support cost accounting initiatives, including standard cost updates and variance analysis.
- Spend time on the manufacturing floor as needed to gather data and understand cost drivers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, procurement, and other departments to understand business drivers.
- Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational tools.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis for capital expenditures, pricing, and strategic initiatives.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve financial processes, tools, and systems.
- Leverage ERP (Epicor), Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to streamline reporting.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems; Power BI, UKG or similar reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to be hands-on and spend time in operational environments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This role is based in the office but will require regular visits to the manufacturing floor.
- Must be able to walk long distances, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods when needed.
- Must be able to sit at a desk and use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Must adhere to safety protocols when on the shop floor.
