Position Overview:
Penn Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Consultant, Strategic Decision Support – Finance to join its Corporate Strategic Decision Support team. This is an entry-level position ideal for recent college or graduate school graduates with relevant Finance and Healthcare internship experience.
The Associate Consultant will provide analytical and consultative support to internal stakeholders, using data to generate insights, solve problems, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Address analytical questions from internal teams and clients while clearly articulating context and insights.
- Insight Generation: Identify and address data integrity and appropriateness issues; critically assess assumptions.
- Problem Solving: Analyze data to support or challenge hypotheses; break down complex issues into actionable components.
- Results Delivery: Follow structured work plans, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in collaboration with leadership.
- Teamwork: Actively contribute to team discussions, offer support to colleagues, and maintain an open and respectful dialogue.
- Communication: Develop concise, clear written communications; translate analytical findings into actionable insights.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability in all deliverables.
- Continuous Improvement: Embrace learning opportunities and stay current with analytical tools, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience in or exposure to healthcare and financial environments
Preferred:
- Internship or work experience in healthcare and/or financial analytics
- 1+ year experience working with large, complex data sets
Not Considered:
- Candidates with IT or Computer Science backgrounds only

Note: The role is primarily remote but may require 6–8 on-site days annually. Preference will be given to candidates located in PA, NJ, DE, or MD. Employment outside of these states will require a third-party arrangement.
