The Financial Analyst role will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Finance team which supports the ideation, design, production, and construction of projects within the WDI organization through the development of critical planning processes, such as the Annual Operating Plan and Long Term Plan.

The Financial Analyst role will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) Finance team which supports the ideation, design, production, and construction of projects within the WDI organization through the development of critical planning processes, such as the Annual Operating Plan and Long Term Plan.
This position partners in several key business areas with responsibilities including (but not limited to):
- Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports using a variety of systems and applications
- Monitor and control costs, as well as track commitments (both internal and 3rd party consultants / contractors)
- Prepare budgets and perform financial sensitivity analyses where appropriate
- Develop and coordinate key financial processes (Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts, Long Term Plan)
- Analyze actual financial results and/or prospective new business proposals
- Build financial models and other tools to analyze key performance indicators, project cash flow forecasts, and perform ad hoc analyses
- Ensure key internal control processes are being adhered to, and information is accurate
- Develop working relationships with internal customers to understand the core businesses

Communicate financial results to leaders on a timely basis
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making making and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously across multiple disciplines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of how accounting entries affect income statement, balance sheet, and other financial reports
- Possesses an understanding of financial controls (e.g., budgeting, forecasting)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 1 – 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
- Prior Walt Disney Company, entertainment, attractions, construction, real estate, or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in Longview and SAP preferred (financial systems)

Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization software preferred

Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other quantitative equivalent
