About Us
Chubby Club is an independently operated subsidiary within a broader portfolio of hospitality-focused entities. We function as the technology and services arm of a growing restaurant ecosystem—offering CRM, data infrastructure, loyalty platforms, digital ordering, marketing automation, and membership tech tailored specifically for modern hospitality operators.
As a strategic partner—not a direct employer of restaurant staff—Chubby Club delivers backend operational support and scalable technology that empowers brands to focus on guest experience and growth.
We’re now seeking a Financial Controller to lead and build the finance infrastructure for Chubby Club as it expands its service lines and national client base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in tech-enabled F&B environments, understands SaaS and service revenue models, and wants to help shape the financial systems of a high-growth, entrepreneurial company.
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Financial Controller to oversee and optimize accounting functions across a portfolio of independently operated subsidiaries and business units. This role is ideal for a finance leader with robust multi-entity experience, strong knowledge of the hospitality and F&B sectors, and a proven track record of building scalable financial systems in complex organisational structures.
This is a CFO-track position offering high-level visibility and strategic involvement across diverse verticals—including restaurants, supply chain, restaurant technology, construction/project management, and media. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, compliance infrastructure, internal controls, and audit preparedness throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions
- Oversee multi-entity financials: Restaurants, tech, supply chain, construction, media, and IP holding entities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes in accordance with GAAP
- Build and enforce internal controls that comply with audit, tax, and legal standards
- Design and implement cost accounting procedures across food, labor, logistics, and materials
- Conduct variance analyses and deliver actionable insights to ownership and entity-level managers
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and consolidated budgeting tools
- Coordinate sales tax, payroll tax, property tax, and franchise tax compliance across jurisdictions
- Lead ERP implementation and dashboard reporting (e.g., Restaurant365, MarginEdge, Craftable)
- Manage investor and board-level reporting with a clear understanding of entity-level performance
- Coach local GMs and unit controllers on P&L management, inventory discipline, and ERP use
- Supervise and scale internal accounting team, ensuring high performance and entity alignment
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years experience in multi-entity accounting, ideally within hospitality or private equity-backed portfolios
- Experience with ERPs such as Restaurant365, MarginEdge, Craftable or similar platforms
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory control, and entity-level reporting
- Ability to build systems that are legally and financially compliant for holding company structures
- High attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial structures and resolve discrepancies
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Why Join Us
- Competitive compensation: Up to $250,000+, including performance bonuses, stock, and/or profit share
- Direct reporting line to founders and executive leadership
- Fast-track opportunity to CFO as the company scales
- Flexibility to work remotely or collaborate from our offices in NYC, LA, or Las Vegas
- Exposure to a diversified portfolio: Restaurants, technology, logistics, real estate, and media
- Be part of a strategic holding structure built to reduce risk and empower decentralized growth
