Description
The Orthodontic Financial Coordinator at Red Rock Orthodontics plays a vital role in helping patients understand the financial aspects of their orthodontic care. This position is responsible for preparing and explaining treatment cost estimates, managing patient payment arrangements, processing insurance claims, and ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and skilled at explaining financial information in a clear and friendly way.
Key Responsibilities
- Present treatment plan fees and payment options to patients and their families in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Prepare financial contracts and ensure all required signatures and documentation are obtained.
- Process insurance claims, verify coverage, and follow up on outstanding claims to maximize reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate patient account records, post payments, and reconcile accounts daily.
- Work closely with the orthodontic team to ensure smooth coordination between clinical and administrative processes.
- Answer patient questions related to billing, insurance, and payment arrangements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic financial role preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental/orthodontic insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
