Forum Advisory Services is a growing financial planning and investment advisory firm committed to helping individuals and families reach their long-term goals through personalized, well-modeled financial plans.
We are looking for a Financial Planning Specialist with experience in retirement planning, cash flow analysis, insurance strategy, and tax-aware investing to support our advisors behind the scenes.
This is a technical, planning-focused role — ideal for candidates who want to build financial plans, not sell products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial plans using software (e.g., RightCapital, eMoney, or MoneyGuidePro)
- Analyze client data and model scenarios (retirement timelines, drawdowns, insurance gaps, Roth conversions, etc.)
- Update plans with changes to income, expenses, goals, and investments
- Generate plan summaries and “what-if” illustrations for advisor presentations
- Coordinate internally with advisors, planning, and client service teams
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all planning documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or as a financial plan preparer
- Strong proficiency in financial planning software
- Familiarity with investment strategies, insurance planning, tax strategy, and estate basics
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort with financial data
- CFP® coursework or certification preferred (but not required)
- Understanding of fiduciary standards and client-first planning models
