Our organization is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Technician/Fitter to work as part of our team to ensure the safety and security of all employees
The successful candidate will need to be able to perform a variety of tasks in a responsible and efficient manner, including installing fire sprinkler systems, responsible for installing all types of fire-protecting systems, including pipe systems and valves
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to work alongside closely with Foremen to perform fire sprinkler systems installation accurately, on schedule
- You will work with the Foreman on the jobsite to follow procedures, blueprints and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes and fittings
- This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints and hand tools
- Fire Sprinkler fitter will assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools
- Fitter will also run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjusts hangers, etc
- Ensure systems are installed properly and follow procedures to test system for leaks
- Coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, including steel and CPVC piping, fire pumps, standpipes, hose systems, underground pipe
- Accountable for communicating materials needed and changes in scope/discrepancies are communicated to foreman
- Willing to travel to local job site locations
- Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade including maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds. Standing and walking for the majority of the workday. Ability to adapt to change in construction environment
- Follow company and jobsite policy and procedures
Qualifications:
- Cut, thread, assemble, and bond pipes and tubes according to equipment, they also need to know how to read Blueprints.
- We're looking for somebody who can work well with others, takes pride in their work, and has excellent communication skills
- Possess the ability to work well with others
- Must have a clean driving record, valid Driver’s License
- Need to be willing to go work in Miami-Dade / Broward / Palm Beach county
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Fire Sprinkler installation experience
- Self-starter that can work with little or no supervision Strong organizational skills,
- Positive attitude Capable of performing physical labor
- Successfully complete driving history check and drug test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
