Under general direction performs complex assignments, establishes, and measures the fleet performance as defined by the safety, service, and cost performance indicators; recommend maintenance actions necessary to meet the identified indicators while continuously reducing costs.
**SALARY RANGE ($70,263 - $105,395) EFFECTIVE 07/01/2025***

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains, monitors, troubleshoots, and revises the agency’s vehicle fueling tracking system. Provides daily monitoring of vehicle fuel data, runs diagnostic reports on fuel system, advises on fuel reporting problems.
Tracks trends in fuel usage, prepares periodic management reports on fuel usage, and analyzes data.
Reconciles invoices and submits for approval and processing.
Prepares monthly statistical reports and analysis through the electronic retrieval of statistical data.
Coordinates fleet assignments and vehicle movement. Directs the use of the contingency fleet and tracks usage. Monitors fleet defects and tracks vehicle life and component exchanges.
Audits performance standards to create or revise performance benchmarks as needed.
Identifies performance trends in the measured performance indicators. Determines and recommends corrective actions.
Prepares database or spreadsheet presentations for management analysis or review.
Assists in the planning and development of Maintenance budgets. Create and maintain documentation files to support operating budget information for ease of retrieval and historical analysis. Assist with the preparation and analysis of the annual operating and capital budget, revenue, and expenses.
Assist in the reporting of performance indicators and measurement based on safety, service, and cost.
Monitor performance and life cycle criteria. Recommend enhancements and upgrades to achieve goals or as dictated by the Transit Asset Management Plan (TAMP).
Monitors compliance with applicable Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations and assists with National Transit Database (NTD) reporting.
Interacts with regulatory agencies when necessary (South Coast Air Quality Management District, Bureau of Automotive Repair, Department of Motor Vehicles, etc.)
Assist with analysis in performance trends to provide continuous improvement.
Assist with Business Management software system configuration management, performance analysis. Works as a liaison between the department and work system providers (Infor EAM, Fuel Force, Attendance on Demand, ChargePoint, etc.)
